CARDI's training and information Center offers courses, produces publications on a wide range of agricultural and management topics and has trained large numbers of collaborators in improved rice production technology. This has had a major impact on the awareness of improved rice technologies throughout Cambodia, including both those developed by CARDI and innovations introduced from elsewhere.

CARDI's training and information centre has a sophisticated and responsive training program that offers as many as 13 courses annually in a variety of disciplinary areas. Approximately 400 individuals attend training events each year, with the opportunity for some to apply their newly acquired knowledge under typical Cambodian conditions.

The center also possesses one of the largest collections of agricultural books in the country. CARDI's training program aims to continue to contribute to human resource development in Cambodia by:

  • Facilitate training and information services to improve performance of the Cambodian Agricultural sector.

  • Disseminate information on new and appropriate agricultural technology and services.

  • Provide quality training sevices as needed by Cambodia's national agricultural sector, the private sector, and the Cambodian farming community.

  • Support human resource development in Cambodia's agricultural sector.
