PHILOSOPHY
To develop technology for effective control methods in rice and other crop pest constrain to meet cost-effective in rainfed lowland and upland farming system by reducing/minimising yield losses.
APPROACHES
- Identify degree of resistant rice variety to potential insect pest such as BPH, gall midge and stem borer.
- Characterise the relationship between the potential pests in rice farming and yield losses.
- Develop the effective control methods on rat damage in pre and post harvest of the rice crop.
- Improve effective control methods with cost-effective implementation on rice and vegetable crop pathology constrains with compatible to current Cambodian socio-economic condition.
- Integrate control methods in crop pest constrain to meet cost-effective and safe for human and environmental impact by minimising and properly use of pesticides in farming practices.
